Referrals should be made via the mainstream school and supported by CAMHS (or another therapeutic intervention).

Respite

Referrals for respite placement should be made in the same way as a Barnet funded place and will be considered according to priority of need.

Out of borough placements

Northgate School will accept referrals from other local authorities and any enquiries should be directed towards the Headteacher in the first instance.

The Beacon Centre

Upon admission to The Beacon Centre, Northgate School will work in partnership with the young persons main provider to ensure a robust programme of education both during and beyond their admission. 

The Beacon Centre Day Service offers a 9-5pm service underpinned by education provided by Northgate School, focused individual and group support around managing self-harm, anxiety, low mood and managing mental health.
